Want to find out how to run a tram? Enjoy meeting people? Want to peek behind the scenes?
Come out to our annual Volunteer Fair to see what goes on in the station, the car barn and on the tram. No need to have experience with the railway, we provide training and coaching. Flexible on timing, evening training sessions or weekends.
Your commitment? We ask for at least a half day per month. The main operating season is weekends (Sat & Sun only, no stat holidays) from May through to the end of September. There are also opportunities for restoration, maintenance and planning during the year (Tues, Wed, Thur 9-2) in the car barn.
A great group to spend time with, our youngest volunteer is 11, the senior volunteer is in (upper) eighties.
