In addition to volunteering and donations, the railway relies on the support of the community, and local businesses and corporations by way of goods and services gifted in-kind.
Your contributions, along with Donations, Membership involvement and our wonderful Volunteers, are so important in helping the society to achieve our successes and advance the various projects and restoration initiatives that allow the railway to continue.

Event Support
FVHRS runs many events throughout the year, including our highly anticipated holiday experiences and recognition events. Your support would help us with events such as:

- The Electric Express Christmas Event

- FVHRS Volunteer Dinner Member Recognition Reception
Program Support
We are very proud to share the rich history of the BCER through programs for local schools and organizations.
Visits can be tailored to fit a particular lesson or unit on some aspect of public rail transportation that is centered on the BCER, or rail safety in general.
Your support will help us with programs like:

Exhibit Support
The exhibits we are involved in are enjoyed by the general public and highly anticipated by a wide range of audiences.
Your support will help our society participate in special exhibits such as:
- Surrey Live Steam Exhibit
- The Classic Cars Exhibit
Project Support
We have many special projects on the go, with the goal of keeping the history of the BCER alive and well.
These projects require resources and funding to undertake and we rely on the business community to support us in these endeavours. Your support will help with projects such as:
- Newton Centre Station
- Sullivan Passing Track
Revitalization and Restoration Projects
The revitalization and restoration of the BCER is the most important goal of FVHRS. This is a huge undertaking and one that wouldnโt be possible without the generous support of local businesses and communities.

Take the Electric Express this Christmas! Get your tickets now before they sell out!
Shake the snow globe and travel back in time with the Electric Express to 1921. See the characters, hear the Christmas music, experience the stories of the Fraser Valley one hundred years ago.
Feel the magic of Christmas as we visit Father Christmas in his secret workshop. You will want to bring your whole family to enjoy our theatrical event that is sure to warm your heart and make you laugh.
This is a heritage railway theatrical experience that takes place on the train run on our 1/2-mile section of our track, with a destination visit to the secret workshop of Father Christmas. Please note the train does not run to Sullivan Station, it travels a short distance up our spur line and back to Father Christmasโs Secret Workshop. The Electric Express experience is approximately 50 minutes long.
This experience will set the scene for the start of a wonderful Christmas season.
