The 2019 Electric Express

A holiday tradition for Lower Mainland families. Come with us on a journey through time and experience what Christmas was like 100 years ago in Cloverdale.

See the characters, listen to the festive music, and travel the Electric Express back in time to 1919 where you can visit the special workshop of Father Christmas. A theatrical experience for all the family.

There will be six one-hour experiences on each day, with times running from 10AM until 4PM. Events start on the hour on both Saturday December 8th and Sunday December 9th:

  • 10AM – first experience of the day
  • 11AM
  • 12PM
  • 1PM
  • 2PM
  • 3PM – last experience of the day

Adults: $20, Seniors/Students (11-18): $15, Youth (3-10): $10, Kids under 3: Free

Purchase Your Tickets Online Here. Online bookings will be cut off 14 hours before the event. Remaining tickets may be sold at the gate on the event day 15 min. before train departure time.

About The Electric Express

The Electric Express is operated by the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society.

The experience takes place in the station, where there is live music and carols, on a short train ride on our own track, followed by a visit to Father Christmas’s workshop in the Car Barn.

There is limited accessibility to this event, there are stairs to get on the train and between the station and the Car Barn.

These run up the spur line in Cloverdale, they do not run to Sullivan. Only water allowed on the train. The total time for each event will be approx. 50mins.

Bookings will be cut off 14 hours before the event. Refunds may be given out up to 24 hours before the event.
