The Electric Express

The 2023 Electric Express

Thank You to all our visitors who braved the snow, rain and cold and came out to experience Christmas in Cloverdale, 100 years ago with a visit to Father Christmas’ workshop and to ride the decorated interurban BCER 1225 and visit the decorated Cloverdale station.  You all made the event a fantastic success.

We look forward to welcoming all our visitors again during 2024. The season starts May 4th with new and exciting things to see and do. Check our website fvhrs.org in April 2024, and book online early to reserve a date and time that best suits your schedule. There will be four events each Saturday and Sunday. We expect to be able to offer our very successful Heritage Railway Adventure, ride everything experience each Saturday and then run the 50 minute Sullivan Excursion every Sunday.

We will be offering a railway experience every weekend to from May to October to suit everyone.

The Electric Express experience takes place in the station, where there is live music and carols, on a short train ride on our own track, followed by a visit to Father Christmas’s workshop in the Discovery Centre. Check out some photos from our previous events below.

About The Electric Express

The Electric Express is operated by the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society.

The experience takes place in the station, where there is live music and carols, on a short train ride on our own track, followed by a visit to Father Christmas’s workshop in the Car Barn.

There is limited accessibility to this event, there are stairs to get on the train and between the station and the Car Barn.

These run up the spur line in Cloverdale, they do not run to Sullivan. Only water allowed on the train. The total time for each event will be approx. 50mins.

Bookings will be cut off 14 hours before the event. Refunds may be given out up to 24 hours before the event.
