Get Involved

Many of the visitors who come for a ride on Surrey’s Heritage Rail ask us how they can become a volunteer, or donate to the Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society (FVHRS).

There are many ways to get involved, ranging from individual volunteer opportunities to becoming a corporate member and helping to fund our major projects.

For the various ways you can get involved, review our list below and check out the links for more information.

Don’t see anything that fits? Fill out the form on the bottom of our Contact page and let us know what you would like to offer (time and/or talent) and become part of our team!

Volunteer

Would you like to join our amazing group of volunteers? We ask for a half day to a full day of your time at a minimum once a month. We provide training, an opportunity to try many different roles, and a fulfilling experience with a great crew.

All Volunteers must fill out the Volunteer Application Form and submit it to FVHRS.

Visit our Volunteer page for more information.

Interested in becoming a member? You will help support the organization and the ongoing cost of rehabilitating the trains and other vehicles. Membership includes a mailed copy of the newsletter, access to online newsletter, and a season’s pass to ride the train and visit all facilities during operating times.
