The FVHRS
Ambassador Programme

Honouring the Past
Inspiring the Future

The Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society (FVHRS) Ambassador Programme is an initiative that connects railway enthusiasts, the community and organizations who share a passion for preserving and celebrating our region’s rich railway heritage.

If you like what we do, and you are interested in helping us complete our vision, we would welcome you on board as an FVHRS Ambassador to assist us on our railway journey.

FVHRS Ambassadors play a key role in preserving BC’s interurban railway heritage for future generations.

As an FVHRS Ambassador, you will contribute in sharing our vision by:

1) Engaging with visitors and sharing our railway history.

2) Encouraging others to join with us to help complete our vision to:

  • Undertake the rehabilitation and restoration of BCER 1207
  • Undertake the Sullivan Station project toinstall a rail siding and upgrade the station

Both of these projects are part of the FVHRS 25th Anniversary activities during 2026.

The Station Master is an exciting and responsible volunteer position. He/she is responsible for the operation of the station. All of the volunteers in the station report to the station master.

The Station Master wears a head set so they can talk over the intercom system to all the guests and volunteers at the station. Volunteers who are interested in this position are given extensive training which usually takes a season.

Our Station Masters are full of enthusiasm and range in age from early 20’s to late 60’s.

FVHRS is 100% Volunteer-run

We are actively looking for volunteers to help support the activities and operations of the society.
You don’t need to be an engineer to get involved!  Click here to learn more.
